Kubernetes adds a lot of resiliency to your production systems, but have distributed systems made your development lifecycle process complicated, painful, and way too long? This talk is about how to have k8s AND a fast, easy inner-loop development experience.
Garden is an end-to-end cloud delivery platform that integrates a lot of the tools you already use to build your production deployments (kubernetes manifests, helm, terraform, pulumi) and lets you create production-like environments for everyone. We will cover how Garden works, fundamentals on project configurations & the Garden CLI, and a demo of how to build such a platform.
After this presentation, you will know how to add your existing infrastructure as code to the Garden framework, so that developers can sync their code to remote containers and directly run unit and end-to-end tests in a remote cluster, without waiting for CI.
